Originally this valtsabwebsite used to display the great artistic works of Greek concert pianist and composer, Vassilis Tsabropoulos. I don’t know what made the domain to be dropped, but I being a great fan of this internationally known pianist, I’ve decided to restore this website. Below is a brief biography of the pianist.

For long, he has been recognized as an extremely gifted artist who deals with the diversity of musical idioms. He is renowned as a classical pianist, performer of music of the 19th and 20th century when he began his career and went to ahead to internationally create a growing recognition climate for improvisation and synthetic abilities in music.

As a child with special skills, he began to win prizes at international music competitions while barely 10 years old. He graduated from the national Conservatory of Athens at the age of 15, and he continued with his studies with a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation at the Conservatory in Paris, the international academy of Salzburg and Julliard in New York where he met renowned teachers like Rudolf Serkins and Tatiana Nikolayeva.

His main axis of the repertoire are works by Beethoven, Mozart, Chopins and Bach, but also compositions of the Russian school as he has repeatedly interpreted works of Rachmaninoff, the Prokofiev and Scriabin. However, he has a the huge breadth of the repertoire of more than one hundred works, ranging from pre-classic period to modern musical interest of our century, including several concertos for piano and orchestra.

After his discrimination in major international competitions (Toronto, Busoni, Linz) he started his international career with appearances in musical centers and festivals throughout Europe. His music was recognized by critics as well asvasstsabropian the general public as genuine but also as a refreshing performer of romantic music and thus has been designated internationally as one of the top European pianists of his generation.

As a soloist, he has collaborated with the Orchestra of the Czech Philharmonic, Philharmonic Houston Symphony, Utah Symphony Lyon, Orchestra of the Italian Radio Orchestra Budapest, Camerata, Orchestra of Colours Orchestra of ERT, Alea, and others while having appeared at major international festivals (Lyon, Spoleto, Rome, Barcelona, ​​Athens) and much more. He has also collaborated with leading Greek and foreign conductors such as B. Ashkenazi, the M. Jansa, the GG. Chertingk, Hans Graf, the Chu Hue, Mr. Cody, A. Paridis, Mr. Hatzidakis, Mr. Murat, Th.
